Tashkent Museum of Railway Engineering

One of the most popular museums and a remarkable landmark of the capital is the Tashkent Museum of Railway Engineering. The museum is located near the central station. The museum with old diesel locomotives was opened for the 100th anniversary of the railways in the capital of Uzbekistan.

The museum represents a collection of 13 historic locomotives, 18 diesel locomotives and 3 electric locomotives. This collection of old train models shows how developed and active was the railway communication in the country. The open-air museum stretches for a kilometre; a small train conducts an excursion along the old steam locomotives telling about the purpose of each train. In addition to the old models, all the equipment ad details are exhibited which used to support the work of trains.

There is also a beautiful park which is known as one of the best places to take a photoshoot. Finally, this is a favourite place for children. They have so much fun climbing the steps and driving a train.
