Lake Tudakul is located not far from Bukhara. It a reservoir, which has become a popular “seaside” for the locals. The unique feature of the artificial reservoir is the saltwater with a slightly bitter taste because of the minerals containing in the lake. The lake is rich in fish like carp, catfish, and bream.
The flora and fauna of the region include some unique specimen included in the Red Book. Tudakul is home for white-tailed eagle, black-headed gull, swan, pelican, long-tailed eagle, and others.
For a long time, the territory of the lake Tudakul was a reserve. Today it is a popular destination for recreation and fishing.
